The Maker Elective class is designed to offer you the opportunity to design, create, tinker, and build. Some things we've done in past classes: made scribble bots, paper mache piggy banks, rain sticks, catapults and launchers, game boards, learned hand sewing, and had choice maker time to explore our own interests!
If you choose to take the Maker class, a donation of $20 is requested for that trimester's supplies. Thanks! Maker Class goals include opportunities for you to:
tinker and create
learn to think, make, and improve (iterate)
use basic construction and design techniques to produce objects and devices
use technology, design and construction to express ideas
practice perseverance and “successful failure”
work collaboratively and creatively
